SS Nylon Insert Jam Lock Nut

18-8 stainless steel nylon insert jam lock nuts are thin patterned hex nuts that have a nylon collar insert in one end of the nut. The nylon insert increases friction on the screw thread, which resists loosening. Dimensional specifications are governed by ASME B18.16.6. The nylon insert jam lock nut is an economic locking nut and ideal in applications where vibration or motion could loosen or undo the nut.
